The Youth
Centre has been established at the year
of 1986. The aim of the establishment is to search out
the folklor our Nation. We also gather these documents,
materials and display them to the public. Constituting
a theatre group, cousing the youth
groups to learn love chess, creating a chorus orchestra, music group and teaching
our members drawing and hand makes are our priority.
Therefore, the Youth
Centre has given a hand to the establishment of a book of a writer called Mustafa Gökçeoğlu whose working field is searching out the folk
of the Nation. His book was named “Dissertation and Words” and published in two volumer.The Youth Centre published these books and sold it
themselve.
At the beginning,
The Youth Centre started off with 230
members. 80 of them were teenagers. Beside the theatre group, chess group, chorus orchestra, music group, drawing
group and hand making group. The Children Club gives service to hundreds of children under
the guidence of skilled teachers.
At 1989, the
children chours has made a cassette which was named
“Lets Join Us”.
Our Centre leads the
celebration of the “1st
June, World Childrens Day” which was announced at 1988 by the United Nations, as a Carnaval in our
country.
We,
as a Youth Centre hostes the Second
International Children and Peace Festival which is
celebrated between 27 May-5 June every year.
Mehmet Ali Tatlıyay
was one of the man who brought our cultural
music to nowadays and we decided to puplish his life. Therefore
we done this at 1996 and published his
life in a book. We are sure this will give a light to
the new generations about our music culture. If he wasn’t there, our music wouldn’t be
at this stage now.
We are the only
organization in our country who celebrates the International
Days, which are announced and accepted by the United Nations, such as 10-17 October, the day of “World Youth and
Students Week". Also we discuss the youth
problems in Pannels in those days.
At 1987, we were
invited by the International Union
Students’ for the establishment of a common University in Cyprus, we took place at these meetings and submited project.
Numerous times we
took place at the International Festivals around the world.
